Financial Planner Profile

Dino DiGiulio FPA®

Principal/Financial Planner/TaxAgent/Accountant-Nationwide Financial.

I started working as a trainee accountant at PJ St Clair Chartered Accountants in the city for 6 months.
Then I went to work for Industrial Engineering as an assistant accountant. Then went on to work for Firestone which became BTR Nylex as Head of Accounting . I then went back to Industrial Engineering as BTR (British Tyre & Rubber) bought them out as Group Accountant
I then went to work for Chubb Electronic Security (1987) major projects division as Financial Controller in including working at the Chubb state control room in Redfern and subsequently in Ashbury when Chubb merged with Wormald Security.
I then went out on my own and commenced doing some accounting and management consulting around 1988/89 to a number of corporate companies such as Pilkington Glass, Taubmans Paints and various others and also did an ITP tax course and worked for ITP Penrith whilst I was commencing my own business at the time. Having studied originally at Woollongong Uni full time for 1 year, whilst living down there as well, I transferred to Macquarie and completed my studies part time in 1989 whilst working for each of the above companies.
I then decided to move into public practice 100% on my own, as I had always wanted to do tax law and applied to be a Registered Tax Agent and Formed Nationwide Tax Services (formally known as D J Di Giulio & Associates Pty Ltd). For some 12 years, we were solely a tax practice, until I decided to also move into Financial Planning and have been doing both for the last 18 years. Now this year will be 30 years in public practice.
