I started working in the financial services industry 10 years ago for a small boutique firm called TED Financial Planning as a Client Service Officer and investment researcher. I spent 2 years there and then went to work for Wealth Tree Financial Planning as their Client Liaison and Paraplanner.
I completed my Diploma of Financial Planning in 2015 and moved into the advice space, specializing in insurance and then superannuation. I progressed up to Head Planner there where my roles included creating the investment portfolio’s and maintaining and servicing the ongoing clients.
I recently moved to Super Heroes Financial Planning where I have taken up the position of Head Adviser with the goal of creating and maintaining the range of investment options available as well as providing specialist advice to superannuation & insurance clients with varied requirements.

What to Expect When We First Meet

In our initial meeting, my goal is to get a clear understanding of where you are currently at personally and financially, and what you hope to achieve in terms of future goals. I would also like to know how and where you feel I may be able to assist you to accomplish these.
I will also provide you with information about myself and why I am so passionate about helping people become financially independent so they can have that piece of mind and realize their dreams.
We will discuss the options available to you based on your situation and decide on a strategy that best suits you. From there we will map out the steps and processes to implement it. Please allow up to 2 hours for the consultation.

What to bring to the meeting:

In order to be prepared for our initial meeting please have the following on hand:

  • Most recent Superannuation statement and current balance
  • Details of insurance policies
  • Details of Wills & Power of Attorneys’ if in place
  • A monthly household Budget outlining Expenses and Savings and a current balance of your Savings and/or Offset accounts.
  • Statements/figures for any other investment income you receive, like shares or rental income.
  • Most recent tax return.

Why I am Passionate About Providing Great Advice?

The reason why I got into providing advice was personal.
After working in the automotive industry for 10 years I had moved into working on my family’s vineyard and was enjoying life with my wife of two years. She was then diagnosed with cancer, but we were fortunate enough to have good insurance put in place by an adviser friend of ours and that saved us financially and we could just concentrate on her health. From there I decided to move into the financial services industry and worked towards being able to provide insurance advice so that I could be an advocate of the benefits so that others could have that same protection that we did.
As insurance and super are entwined in many cases I branched out into the super space. I had already been creating investment portfolios for my family and friends and it was just a natural progression to extend it out to my clients after being asked by many of them where I invested my own money.
I have a simple strategy that has proven very effective. I research investment managers and look to create portfolio’s that have a combination of consistent performance over time for minimum risk in a given category with the best value in regard to fees.

In my spare time, I like to have fun with my young family and enjoy getting out on the water in our little boat or heading up to the Hinterland for a bushwalk. I also enjoy a good BBQ and love to experiment with my smoker cooking up a selection of various dishes for everyone to try.
